Conference Venue
Where is the conference venue?
The LCANZ 2022 Conference will be held at the Mantra on Salt Beach, Gunnamatta Avenue, Kingscliff NSW 2487
Is there parking at the venue?
Mantra on Salt Beach offers on-site complimentary car parking (1 vehicle per room).
How do I get from the airport to the Conference Venue?
– 20 minute drive from Gold Coast International Airport
– 90 minute drive from Brisbane International Airport
– 40 minute drive from Robina train station, QLD
Public bus operators are yet to recommence services to Kingscliff following the pandemic. The easiest way to get from the Airport to Mantra Salt is via taxi or Uber. Currently the most cost effective way is via Uber with an estimated cost of $37 (from Gold Coast Airport). A surge fee may apply at the time of high demand.

During the Conference
What is the dress code for the conference?
Dress code is smart casual.
Where do I register on the day?
At the Registration Desk – hotel foyer of the Mantra on Salt Beach
How do I gain entry to the Conference?
All delegates and exhibitors will be provided with a name badge, which will give you access to all sessions. Please ensure you always wear your name badge.
Will there be internet available?
Free wireless internet access is available for the duration of the Conference. The password and login details will be available at the Conference.
PLEASE NOTE: The internet is not to be used to view or download any illicit material, including movies, music etc.
How will I know if there have been any changes to the program?
Any changes to the Conference program will be announced during housekeeping notices each morning. You may also check with Leishman Associates staff at the Registration Desk.
Where can I find a list of delegates who are attending the conference?

Mobile Phones
As a courtesy to other delegates, please ensure that all mobile phones are turned off or in silent mode during all sessions.
Photographs, videos, recording of sessions
Delegates are not permitted to use any type of camera or recording device at any of the sessions unless written permission has been obtained from the relevant speaker.
Is there security at the conference?
The members of the conference organising committee and Leishman Associates accept no liability for personal accident of loss or damage suffered by any participant, accompanying person, invited observer or any other person by whatever means. Nor do we accept liability for any equipment or software brought to the conference by delegates, speakers, sponsors or any other party. Please protect your personal property.
Do not leave laptops, cameras, and other valuable items unsecured. Be conscious of individuals who appear out of place and do not wear a conference name badge. Advise Leishman Associates staff if this does not occur.

What is included in my registration?
Full Registration includes:
- Access to all sessions during the Conference, from 20-21 May 2022
- Handbook, name badge
- Morning and afternoon refreshments and lunch from 20-21 May 2022
Day registration includes:
- Access to the sessions on your chosen day
- Handbook, name badge
- Morning and afternoon refreshments and lunch for that chosen day
A ticket to the Conference Dinner is not included in above registration types and it can be purchased separately during the online registration.
I have special dietary requirements – will I be served the correct food?
If you have advised Leishman Associates of any special dietary requirements, the caterers at each function have been provided these. A special buffet table will be set during the day for special diets. If you are unsure, please see the staff at the Registration Desk.
Accommodation
How do I pay for my accommodation?
If you have booked your accommodation when you registered, your credit card details have been transferred to the hotel you have selected – please confirm this on check in with your hotel.
The hotel will request payment on check out. If you have arrived 24 hours later than your indicated arrival day, you may find that you have forfeited your deposit.
If you will not be paying with your own credit card, and need to arrange payment before you arrive, the best way is via a credit card authorisation form enabling the hotel to process a third-party card. To do so, please download the form here.
I would like to change or cancel my accommodation booking?
Please email kan@laevents.com.au to cancel or change your accommodation prior to the Conference. If you need to cancel your accommodation booking within 30 days of your arrival date, any cancellation fees will be subject to the hotel cancellation policy. Therefore, no accommodation refund can be guaranteed within 30 business days of the Conference. If you alter your accommodation booking after you have checked in, please deal directly with the hotel. If you arrive 24 hours later than your indicated arrival day, charges will apply.
Speaker, Chairperson or Poster Presenter
I am a speaker, what should I do?
Please bring your PowerPoint presentation on USB with you to the Registration Desk on arrival at the conference. You will then be directed to the Speakers’ Preparation Room for the AV Technician to upload your presentation. A technician will be present in this room at all times. There will be facilities to test and modify your presentation if required.
All presentations need to be 16:9 in ratio.
Speakers are requested to assemble in their session room 5 minutes before the commencement of the session if possible, to meet with their session chair and to familiarise themselves with the room and the audio-visual equipment.
I am a chairperson, what should I do?
If you are a chairperson, you will receive speaker information and session guidelines prior to arriving at the conference. If you have additional questions, please contact Leishman Associates.
Cancellation and Disclaimer
I need to cancel my registration, what do I do?
Cancellations must be received in writing – mail or email – to Leishman Associates. Cancellations will not be deemed to be received until you have written confirmation from Leishman Associates. If you have not received acknowledgement within two business days, please contact Leishman Associates on (03) 6234 7844.
Should it be necessary to cancel your registration due to Government imposed travel restrictions, we will provide you with a full refund, minus any bank fees incurred. Evidence may be requested, and each situation will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Refunds for any other reason will adhere to the following cancellation terms:
Registration Fees:
– Cancellations on and before 90 days prior the event will incur a A$150.00 cancellation fee.
– Cancellations on or before 60 days prior to the event will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
– Cancellations on or after 30 days prior to the event will receive no refund.
Disclaimer
The Conference reserves the right to amend or alter any advertised details relating to dates, program and speakers if necessary, without notice, because of circumstances beyond their control. All attempts have been made to keep any changes to an absolute minimum.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights of the event, and all materials distributed at or in connection with the event is owned by the Host, Leishman Associates, Sponsors, &/or Speakers presenting at the event. Participants may not use, reproduce or allow anyone to use or reproduce any trademarks or other trade names appearing at the conference, content, or in any materials distributed at or in connection with the Conference for any reason without the prior written permission from the Host.
No part of the Conference may be recorded, reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronically or mechanically, including but not limited to video or audio recording, photography, photocopying or any other information storage or retrieval system known now or in the future, without the explicit written permission of the Host.
